Why a negotiated rate matters
Cryptomus advertises incoming payments "from 0.4%", but its fees page says new users pay 2% and that the final rate depends on the business. A new store, or a high-risk one, cannot know its rate before it talks to them.
ePayVista publishes one rate: 1% per transaction for every merchant and every vertical, plus a network gas reimbursement (usually under a penny on Base and Polygon). No monthly fee, no setup fee, no rolling reserve. See how that compares across 15 gateways on our fees comparison.
Where Cryptomus is the better fit
- You have the volume to negotiate. If Cryptomus offers you a rate under 1%, its headline fee can beat ours.
- You want to accept many coins. ePayVista settles in USDC and USDT only.
- Most of your buyers are outside the US. ePayVista fully supports US merchants selling to US customers, and card payments elsewhere are not guaranteed.
Where ePayVista is the better fit
- US customers paying by card. Pay by card (Stripe, with Apple Pay and Google Pay) and Pay with Coinbase, from $5. Your customers never touch crypto.
- You want to keep your margin. The card provider's fee is on the buyer's receipt, so a card order costs you 1% plus a network gas reimbursement (usually under a penny on Base and Polygon).
- You want nothing held. Each payment is forwarded to your own wallet as it confirms. There is no balance to freeze and no withdrawal step.
- High-risk stores. No application and no underwriting. Every merchant pays the same 1%.
How to switch from Cryptomus
- Download the ePayVista plugin (or install it from WordPress.org) and activate it next to Cryptomus. Not on WooCommerce? Use payment links or the free REST API with signed webhooks.
- Paste a USDC or USDT wallet address you control (a self-custody wallet, not an exchange deposit address) and click Connect. There is no application to wait on.
- Run a real test order of $5 or more and check what lands in your wallet.
- Keep both on while you compare, move any balance out of Cryptomus, then turn the old gateway off. More answers in the FAQ.
