Best Payment Processor for Peptides in 2026: An Honest Comparison

Quick answer: There is no single best payment processor for peptides. Licensed clinics and compounding programs fit an underwritten merchant account such as Corepay. Research-use-only sellers have fewer options: specialists like Seamless Chex and Instabill say they accept them. ePayVista suits US WooCommerce stores that want card checkout without underwriting, reserves, or a held balance.

Peptides are one of the hardest categories to keep a payment account open for. This list covers providers that publicly say they serve peptide sellers, what each one requires, what pricing they publish, and where each fits. We built it only from each provider's own pages, opened in November 2026. We did not test their services.

Why is it hard to find a payment processor for peptides?

Mainstream processors either prohibit the category or restrict it so tightly that most stores fail a later review.

  • WooCommerce's WooPayments prohibited products page lists "peptides and other research chemicals" as prohibited, alongside pseudo-pharmaceuticals.
  • Stripe's restricted businesses list prohibits pseudo-pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals that are not safe or make harmful claims, and incorrectly labeled research chemicals.
  • Card network programs add pressure on the banks behind every high-risk account. Visa's Integrity Risk Program, which LegitScript summarizes here, sorts "High Integrity Risk" merchant types into tiers and requires acquirers to keep controls and oversight in place.

The result: the providers that do accept peptides usually ask for more paperwork, and several draw a hard line between licensed medical programs and research-use-only sellers. Our longer guide on peptide payment processing for WooCommerce covers the background, including what to look for in a Stripe alternative for peptides when Stripe closes a peptide store.

How did we choose and compare these processors?

We included a provider only if its own website said it serves peptide sellers, or (for PaymentCloud) the closely related nutraceutical category. Pricing is listed only where the provider publishes it. None of the merchant account providers below publishes rates for peptides, so every one is "pricing on application".

1. Corepay: best fit for licensed peptide programs

What it is: Corepay describes itself as a registered ISO/MSP of North American Banking Company. Its peptide merchant account page targets licensed compounding pharmacies, wellness brands, and medical-grade peptide programs.

Pricing: On application. The page mentions competitive rates and lower reserve options but gives no figures.

Pros: Peptide-specific underwriting, chargeback alert tools (Ethoca and Verifi), recurring billing, and a dedicated account manager. The page lists a 24 to 72 hour typical approval window.

Cons: It says it cannot help peptide platforms that are not LegitScript certified, and it does not serve research-use-only sellers. It asks for processing history, bank statements, a voided check, and a fully compliant website.

2. Seamless Chex: research-use-only sellers at volume

What it is: A US provider of card, ACH, and eCheck processing. Its best payment processor for peptides article says it works with US B2B peptide sellers such as research suppliers and wholesalers.

Pricing: On application. The page names interchange-plus pricing but publishes no rates.

Pros: The page says it accepts research-use-only peptides with compliant labeling and does not require LegitScript certification. It offers next-day US funding and ACH and eCheck as lower-cost alternatives to cards.

Cons: The page describes the service as built for sellers processing $100,000 or more a month, so smaller stores may not qualify. It shows two different approval timelines (72 hours and 7 to 14 days), so confirm directly.

3. Instabill: offshore accounts and alternative methods

What it is: A high-risk merchant account provider with a dedicated peptides merchant accounts page.

Pricing: On application. The application is free, but no rates, fees, or reserve terms are published.

Pros: Offers peptide accounts through an offshore banking partner, plus a gift card payment option where the customer pays with a retail gift card through a checkout widget. The page says approvals can take as little as 1 to 2 business days.

Cons: Offshore processing adds currency, compliance, and banking questions you should check with an advisor. The page lists no eligibility criteria, so you will not know your terms until you apply.

4. PaymentCloud: nutraceutical accounts, peptides unconfirmed

What it is: A high-risk merchant account provider with a nutraceutical and supplement page.

Pricing: On application. The page says rates for nutra accounts are "slightly higher due to industry risk", with no hidden fees and no long-term contracts.

Pros: Lists WooCommerce among its supported integrations, plus recurring billing, fraud and chargeback tools, and account management.

Cons: The page does not mention peptides. Ask directly whether your products qualify before you apply.

5. ePayVista: card checkout for US WooCommerce stores, no underwriting

What it is: A payment gateway for high-risk online stores, including peptides. It installs as a free WooCommerce plugin from /download, or connects through a free REST API with signed webhooks at /api.

Pricing: Flat 1% per transaction. No monthly fee, no setup fee, no rolling reserve, no chargeback fee.

Pros:

  • Customers pay by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay, through "Pay by card" (Stripe Link, US cards) or "Pay with Coinbase" (card, Apple Pay, or bank), both from $5 per order.
  • You are paid out instantly through our managed, non-custodial settlement layer, to an account only you control. We never hold your funds, so there is no balance to freeze.
  • Payments settle final, so there are no card disputes or chargebacks against you. Refunds, if you choose to give them, come from your own funds.
  • No underwriting. Setup takes about 5 minutes.

Cons:

  • US-first. Fully supported for US merchants selling to US customers; card payments elsewhere are not guaranteed.
  • ePayVista is not the card processor. Stripe and Coinbase run the card step and alone decide declines, 3D Secure, ID checks, and supported countries, so some buyers may be declined there.
  • $5 minimum per order.
  • It is not a traditional merchant account, so it does not replace one if you need broad international card acceptance.

Which payment processor is best for your peptide business?

  • You run a licensed clinic or compounding program and can get LegitScript certified: an underwritten account like Corepay fits, and gives the widest card coverage.
  • You sell research-use-only peptides at high volume and want ACH or eCheck too: Seamless Chex says it serves you.
  • You want card checkout on WooCommerce today, sell mainly to US buyers, and do not want a reserve or a held balance: ePayVista fits.

Many stores run two options at once, so one review does not take their whole checkout offline. Our guide to high-risk merchant account fees helps you compare the quotes you get, and rolling reserves explains the held-funds terms to look for.

Whatever you choose, sell only what is legal where you and your buyers are. This is not legal advice.

FAQ

Does Stripe allow peptide sales?

Stripe's restricted businesses list prohibits pseudo-pharmaceuticals that are not safe or make harmful claims and incorrectly labeled research chemicals, and WooPayments, which runs on Stripe, lists peptides as prohibited.

Do I need LegitScript certification to accept payments for peptides?

It depends on the provider. Corepay says it requires it. Seamless Chex says it does not for compliant research-use-only labeling. ePayVista does not require it.

What do peptide merchant accounts cost?

None of the providers in this list publish peptide rates, so pricing is on application. Ask for the rate, monthly fees, and reserve terms in writing.

Can I accept card payments for peptides on WooCommerce?

Yes. Some merchant account providers connect through a WooCommerce gateway plugin, and ePayVista installs as a free WooCommerce plugin with card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay at checkout.

Does ePayVista hold my money?

No. It is non-custodial. Funds go to an account only you control, at a flat 1% with no monthly fee, setup fee, or reserve.
